Poster artwork features a stylised, Art Deco-inspired view of gondola prows (ferri) and mooring poles in the foreground, with the silhouette of the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute in the background. Commissioned by the Ferrovie dello Stato (Italian State Railways) to promote tourism to Venice. The poster was printed in Italy by Novissima Roma from around 1928.
