William Morris’s Tulip pattern is a disciplined yet expressive design, pairing stylised flowers with interlacing stems. Its strong vertical rhythm and limited palette reflect Morris’s belief in clarity, repetition, and honest ornament, making it both decorative and structurally coherent. Tulip was among Morris’s earliest successful wallpaper designs.
