This composition is a masterclass in monochromatic depth. By using varying shades of indigo and Prussian blue, Koson creates a lush, atmospheric garden scene. The gradient (bokashi) in the background provides a misty, ethereal quality that makes the bold, architectural shapes of the iris petals feel grounded yet elegant. Koson moved from his hometown of Kanazawa to Tokyo to study under Suzuki Kason, a master of nihonga. It was from his master that he took the name "Koson".

For A4 and A3 prints we use 270gsm Mohawk Superfine paper media. For A2 and A1 prints we use 270gsm Etching Cotton paper media. To protect our prints we use shatter-resistant acrylic. To frame our prints we use solid wood frames or engineered wood.
